Jermuk is a mountain spa city in the Vayots Dzor Province (Marz) which is located at 173km far from Yerevan. It is a popular destination for both Armenians and foreigners for its fresh air, waterfalls, artificial lakes, walking trails, the surrounding forests and mineral water pools. It has a unique climate as it is located 2500-3000 meter above the sea level.
Jermuk has a lot of beautiful tourist attractions. Some of them are Jermuk waterfall, gallery of waters, ropeway, Jermuk lake, Gndeavnk monastery, Jermuk art gallery etc.
During Soviet Union times Jermuk was primarily a spa town and sanatorium, where people mainly getting treated and taking mineral water baths. But now that’s not all, as Jermuk offers activities for people loving active rest as well.
